I have to get this out of the way first.. I've been a huge BOYS SUCK fan for a long long long time and even co-produced the boys suck tribute on dead puppy records for this.. This is the newest incarnation of BOYS SUCK and a lot of these songs I had already loved before I heard them this way.. this makes it very hard to review them in a new light.. but I'll try!
FORGET BOYS SUCK THIS IS THE MOTION SICK!
Starting off the cd with simple acoustic love SATELLITE kicks into a soft distortion which is heavy enough for a punk rocker but soft enough to bounce gently along with the crowd and sing along and be happy!
Mike's lyrics always hit home with me.. I love being able to hear them in a proper full band situation!

THE DAY AFTER
is definately a groovy little track... palm muted guitar and pounding percussion, this band is amazing..This song is a new one to me I do believe.. very self reflective.. "The first time, the only time I stopped feeling guilty!"
One of my favorite songs for sure PRE-EXISTING CONDITION I dare anyone to listen to this song and not feel every single word... "I lost half of my lovers by telling the truth, I lost the half telling them lies" I think that's the story of my life!
Mike is one of the best song writers in history.
GRACE KELLY
Paints a beautifully depressing moment... we all get our fifteen minutes some of us it's not the best thing in the world.. but we all want to be remembered for somethign!
WHAT I GET one of the heavier tracks on the album but don't think I mean METAL or anything this is a bit more WEEZER heavy... but I could so totally hear the DEFTONES doing this song!

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DEAD GIRL is almost folky country it's bouncy and poppy and fast.. stomp your foot and slap your leg and sing along!
THUNDARR
Slow and heartfelt just like it should be, this is beautiful, truely beautiful.
DRIVING IN ENGLAND makes me think of one of those road trip music videos with really fast clips of the band being goofy running around showing road signs of where they are mixed with live clips.. I hope to see some stuff from the tour THE MOTION SICK recently did.. I hate myself for missing it!
DEAD LETTER OFFICER I love the music for this one.. it's so chaotic and crazy...
GOD HATES KANSAS
reminds me of PANSY DIVISION for some reason.. love the story behind this song and it's meaning...

THE MOTION SICK IS A STAND ALONE BAND IN A WORLD OF CRAP, THESE GUYS ARE WORTH EVERY OUNCE OF CREATIVITY THAT THEY POUR INTO THEIR MUSIC.. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING NEW AND DIFFERENT AND WORTH PUTTING YOUR FAITH IN HERE IT IS!
