I Remember When I First Heard Them...
My Now Wife (Girlfriend At The Time) Wanted To Go See Them Play, She Had Heard Of Them Through A Guy Who Had Been Hitting On Her Through The Internet.
Of Course As Usual I Said Ok, And We Were Off.
I Spent The Entire Night Walking Around Behind Her Like A Bull-Dog Ready To Snap At The First Person To Move.
I Was Almost Pissed When They Started Playing And I Liked Them As Much As I Did.
Since Then I Was Hooked.
It Wasn't Until We Put Together The Dead Puppy Tribute To the Cornbugs (Music Is Our Life) That I Actually Met John King and The Gang From Sixth Floor!
They couldn't Be Cooler!
I've Had The Privilege To see Them Several Times Since Then And Even Get A Rare Live Halloween Performance On CD From Them.

Okay Maybe I Am A Little Biased But I Would Be Very Disappointed If SIXTH FLOOR Put Out A Bad Record!
And Yes I Have To Admit There Were A Couple Things I Was Disappointed In!
SMALL TOWN Has A Weird Effect On The Vocals At The Beginning And On A Couple Lines In The Song!
Sounds Kinda' Like He's Singing Through A Telephone!
At First I Thought That Mp3.com's D.A.M Cd Had Messed Up The Song But The More I Listen To It The More It Sounds Intentional!
I Have To Say I'd Love This Effect If I Hadn't Already Had A Version Of SMALL TOWN That Didn't Have That Effect. I Think The Song Still Rocks But Is Better Natural!
As Dr. Hook Says! "Makin' It Natural"
And The Other Complaint Is That A Few Of My Favorite Songs That Sixth Floor Perform Live Were Not On This CD! And Aren't On The Other Two Discs Either!
So As Usual I'll Keep Hounding John King For Free Music Like A CRACK HEAD Hounds A DEALER!
